About Vicky
Vicky Kim is a Jewelry Design Lead with a global perspective and over a decade of experience shaping commercially successful, design-driven collections for lifestyle, private-label, and designer brands. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Vicky developed an early appreciation for culture, language, and storytelling, interests that continue to inform her design philosophy and creative direction today.
She studied literature and languages in college, where her ability to interpret narrative, context, and nuance became foundational to her approach to design. Her transition into jewelry design was sparked through international travel and hands-on exploration, beginning with hardware design and evolving into formal training in rendering, technical drawing, and silversmithing. After relocating to New York in 2013, Vicky launched her career in jewelry design, quickly building expertise across concept development, product construction, and large-scale production.
Today, Vicky works as a design consultant and creative leader, partnering with established brands, emerging designers, and global manufacturers to develop cohesive, market-relevant collections. She regularly collaborates with cross-functional teams, provides design direction, and meets with clients across the US to guide custom projects and seasonal assortments from concept through execution.
Travel remains a central source of inspiration in Vicky's work. Drawing from architecture, fashion, nature, and cultural experiences, from the historic elegance of Prague to the natural landscapes of Machu Picchu, she brings a refined, globally informed sensibility to every collection. Her work balances creativity with strategy, ensuring each design not only tells a story but resonates with the customer and supports the brand's long-term vision.
